Mr Debela was the father of Romaine Debela and the husband of Mrs Debela. He was very famous in the music industry and he could make anyone a star. When The Midges played at Romaine's birthday party he told Persephone that she had a good voice and that he could make her a star. He flirted with her and tried to kiss her, Sephy then slapped him and refused his offer. Mr Debela seemed to have a problem with noughts. He called Sephy a blanker-lover and said that you couldn't get any lower than singing with noughts.
